Garden Club London have been designing and building award winning gardens in London for over a decade. Our studio is a hive of collaborative activity with a vast wealth of industry knowledge in landscape design, planning, estimating and construction methods. We are recruiting a senior Landscape Designer who will take a creative lead within the design team to assist the MD with ensuring the design team is supported with critical design decision making whilst allowing creative freedom within your portfolio. You will have a proven track record of interpreting a brief and producing garden and landscape designs that match the clients requirements and budget. A strong visual presentation skills set, horticultural and hard material knowledge is essential in order to fully realise the potential of this exciting opportunity to join our studio and develop the role further.This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and creative landscape architect or experienced landscape designer to join a growing practice working on a range of projects in the UK and Europe.

job requirements

  • BA and/or MA/PGDip in Landscape Architecture (Landscape Institute accredited) or Horticulture/Garden design diploma.
  • All applicants must be skilled on Adobe suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Vectorworks
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent 3D skills
  • Applicants must have a good working knowledge of landscape construction.
  • Able to work well independently and be able to lead a small team.
  • Confident working in a small office environment with a strong team focus of hard work and conscientiousness
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Project management and leadership skills

Duties will include:

  • Taking clients brief and developing concept designs
  • Drawing and specifying landscape plans for construction and tender, planning applications and providing 3D visuals
  • Must be able to prepare a wide range of plans from Planting Plans, Construction Details, Lighting and Irrigation plans
  • Deal direct with clients to facilitate plan changes and updates as well as managing deadlines
  • Completing necessary contract administration tasks
  • Developing and closing new business opportunities
