Chelsea Flower Show 2026: The Transient Garden
- News
We’re excited to share that Garden Club London will be returning to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026 with a new balcony garden: The Transient Garden.
About the Garden:
Designed by our in-house designer Rebecca Lloyd-Jones, the garden explores a way of living that feels increasingly familiar – where homes, routines, and spaces are more fluid than ever. The Transient Garden has been created in response to modern city life and personal experience, its built to embrace the idea that gardens don’t need to be permanent to be meaningful. As a balcony garden, the design balances the many demands placed on small urban spaces. It has been conceived to support work, relaxation, and entertaining in equal measure. Lush, layered planting creates a sense of enclosure, while integrated edible elements and flexible features make the space both sociable and practical. It’s a garden designed to fit around everyday life.
About the Designer:
Rebecca’s journey into landscape design began in community gardens, working with people who had limited access to green space, an experience that continues to shape her approach to design, sustainability, and biodiversity. Having volunteered on a number of Chelsea gardens over the years, this marks an exciting moment as Rebecca brings her own vision to the show, supported by the wider Garden Club London team.
About the Sponsor:
Hamptons will be returning to Chelsea Flower show as our sponsors for the 4th time this year. We have been lucky enough to partner with them on previous Gold Medal winning garden such as last years Komorebi Garden by Masa Taniguchi.
We’re thrilled to be returning to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, hot on the heels of our Gold Medal win last year – this time, with Rebecca’s The Transient Garden. This year we will showcase how a garden can be created and enjoyed without permanence in mind – a space designed to adapt, evolve and move with you. Reflecting the realities of urban living, this garden shows how even the smallest spaces can be transformative. –
Mary Beeton, Interim Managing Director at Hamptons.
Whilst the GCL team will be supporting through build and Hamptons will be sponsoring the project we’re also delighted to be collaborating with a group of valued partners and suppliers who are helping to bring the garden to life, including Ca’Pietra, Vande Moortel, Harrod Horticultural, RocketGro, LandscapePlus, Parker & Bartley and EuroPlanters.
We’re incredibly proud to be part of Chelsea once again, and to be building a garden that reflects both the realities and the possibilities of urban living today.
Keep your eyes peeled on our social channels as we begin to share more of the journey with you.
